KURT LUX
PRESIDENT

Kurt Lux has been championing the cause for persons with disabilities since 1984. Kurt graduated with a bachelor’s degree at Central Connecticut State University with a major in Social Work and Psychology in 1986.
In addition to his work with GLO, Kurt is a Senior Team Manager for SourceAmerica. SourceAmerica is a United States non-profit agency that supports other agencies which provide employment opportunities for people who are severely disabled.
Established in 1974, SourceAmerica is one of two U.S. nonprofits designated in the Javits–Wagner–O'Day Act to support nonprofit agencies participating in the AbilityOne Program. That program provides employment opportunities for people who are blind or have other significant disabilities by providing them opportunities to produce goods and services under federal contracts.
SourceAmerica's mission is to create employment opportunities and choices for people with significant disabilities. As an organization, it is SourceAmerica’s ultimate vision that every person with a disability be able to find employment in a quality work environment.
Kurt's love affair with the people and country of Uganda began with Jolly and his engagement ceremony held in Kampala 2003. Shaped by strong Christian values, Kurt thanks the many beautiful people who helped influence his love for people and the desire to give something back (parents, family, pastors, friends, and especially his beloved Jolly).
Kurt is also a Six Sigma Green Belt.
