Dr. Adam Eugene Perrin received his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown,
CT.
After 20 years of primary care practice in the community, Dr. Perrin turned his attention to academic medicine, joining the faculty in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 2012. Dr. Perrin presently has a wide array of clinical, teaching and administrative responsibilities which include Director of Medical Student Education in Family Medicine and Director of Student Wellness.
Among his favorite roles is as faculty for the Urban Service Track where students from multiple disciplines (including medicine, dental medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and social work) learn to work collaboratively in providing care to underserved populations. Among the communities served: migrant farm workers, the homeless and the uninsured. Dr. Perrin has had the honor of being inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his humanitarian efforts on behalf of those in need.
He has traveled with Guiding Light Orphans multiple times to provide medical care to those in Uganda and currently acts as the Medical Director for GLO.
